Vine
A climbing vine "Vitis Vinifera Frutice" from the Vitacee family. Apart from the production of its fruit - wine, vine leaves contain tannic substances that renders them suitable for the making of decoctions and brews which are excellent remedies for hemorrhage and gout. The dripping liquid from the vine shoot, during pruning is efficaciously used as eyewash and cutaneous infections. Grape seeds also contain a sweet and tannic oil and are used crushed during the tannic treatment for tuberculosis. All European vines including those transplanted in Australia, Africa, America belong to Vitis Vinifera which produce the best wines in the world.
