Increase of the excises on alcoholic products
From 10th October the excises on alcoholic products will rise from euro 8,0001 to euro 9,0551 per anhydrous liter. The planned increase of the so called "Decreto Scuola" (art.25, DL 12 september 2013, n.104) aims to find bigger resources for the sectors of education and research.
The Istituto Nazionale Grappa warns about the fallouts which certainly will be caused by these decisions.
But it is also to mention that Italy has one among the lowest excises on alcohol compared to the european countries.
We will see how the market will answer to the increase of the prices, which occur in the next days.
