Sugar beet
Plant belonging to Chenopodiaceous family whose white root variety produces sugar, thanks to working tailings, the treacle (V.), that mainly gives rise to ethylic alcohol. In Italy the treacle releases a big production of ethylic alcohol through a yield of about 60 kg for each 100 kg of sugar.
