IG Grappa registered in Lisbon agreement by WIPO
IG Grappa is now listed in WIPO's official register (World organisation for Intellectual property): WIPO has been existing since Lissabon's treaty in 1958.
Another office, called OMPI (International office of the World organisation for intellectual property) is in charge to update the international register where all protected origin denominations are listed.
The countries adhering to Lissabon's treaty now have one year time to plead against the protection of IG Grappa, after which this protection will be effective.
