Nitrogen (Gas)
The word nitrogen is composed by Greek privative A and xoe, life: nitrogen = without life. The modern chemicals gave this name to a simple body contained in the atmosphere, including a percentage of 72%; ancients called it as phlogistic air, whereas Lavoisier as skunk. It can be obtained with all its purity and blended with gas, that’s “nitrogen gas” or liquid and solid in natural and artificial combinations.
