Lavender Lemonade with Grappa

Ingredients:

Handful of freshly picked & rinsed lavender blooms
1 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
1 3/4 cup freshly squeezed juice from lemons
3 cups cold water
Grappa

Preparation:

Put lavender blooms in a bowl with sugar and muddle with pestle gently rubbing blossoms into the sugar. Pour boiling water over the lavender & sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved. Let set for at least 1 hr. Strain and pour syrup into pitcher Add the lemon juice and the 3 cups cold water - stir.
Pour lavender lemonade in small rocks glass over ice - Add 1oz of pure Grappa.
